AN UPDATE ON WHAT HAS HAPPENED ON SITE, IN THE WEEK COMMENCING 18TH MARCH 2019

THINGS HAVE BEEN PROGRESSING WELL ON SITE, WITH THE TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC ACCESS FROM MARSTON FERRY ROAD NOW IN USE

All construction deliveries have been directed to use this access point, to avoid any deliveries taking place via the Carter Estate. Site works are continuing at the access point to complete the new site access by the end of April. This continues to be managed to enable cyclists and pedestrians to continue to use the route while this work is carried out.

We have now completed ecology enabling works and the tree protection fencing is in place. All this work has been carried out under the supervision of qualified ecologists.

At Meadowbrook College, the foundation and drainage works for the temporary school buildings is complete ready for installation of modular buildings starting on 18th March. The installation of the temporary buildings will take 2 weeks

Groundwork has commenced to allow construction of the retaining wall on the St Nicholas boundary and the large covered cycle area base slab. These works need to be complete to allow delivery of our site accommodation at the end of April.

Ground preparation and pile mat construction work is under way, ready for the start of piling on 8th May to create the school's foundations.

Archaeological investigations of the site are planned to start on 1st April and will continue for 5 weeks. We will be holding on open day in early May for anybody who is interested in archaeology to attend. We will publish further information about this as soon as the date is confirmed.
